Worst buffet !

I had been to Hilton for the midnight buffet on the 24th April...A well planned night with my friends but to my regret Hilton was as worst as it could get.
- The service was pathetic. Always delayed and the waiters seemed least interested in service.
- The food was cold
- The tomato mozerella cheese salad had no mozerella cheese
- The chicken vegetable salad was spoilt and had foul smell
- The mutton dishes were raw and uncooked
- Dal makhni couldn't have been worse
- Even the cakes were not up to the mark
- To top it all the place was full of mosquitoes! It was worst than a local joint.

When we requested to meet the manager, the waiter refused to call the manager and told us that the they had no manager on duty. When we insisted the manager came up and he too was extremely cold and not of much help.
Overall highly overrated and not worth a penny.

I feel sad to say but I would go back to hilton ever again! Worst buffet I have ever had.

Good Buffet Lunch

Had been to Brasserie for Buffet Lunch with my spouse. The lunch buffet has a good spread - soups, salad, hummus & pita bread, pizza, dim sums, veg starters, desserts. Only disappointment was the main course - shani paneer - paneer was not soft and the noodles which were dry.

awful...

such a terrible experience.. never expected this from the Le Meridien.. my friend was so confident about the place considering her corporate@dalecarnegieindia.comerience there couple of years back; she ended up shocked once we started with the dinner and started apologizing mid way ended up doing it for the next 2 days.. food was so stale; what i felt like a piece of bone it the biriyani was actually a piece of rice!!! beat that.. the deserts section was so over populated with tomato n carrot flavor... the only relief was the ice tea and the expresso!!!! and not to forget the staff... pity them coz not every customer might react the same way.. having the patience to wait n write!!!!

Dissapointing !!

Went for the buffet after reading good reviews ... guess at 550 buck it would have been fine. We went for the dinner one @ 1100 + tax and it sucked.

Am a regular at ITC Hornby's and was expecting something on similar lines but the food really really dissapointed. The salads were pathetic ... could not finish the Betki and lamb ones. Only good part was the Sushi (better than ITC) and the cheese platter. The kababs were a surprise - the sheekh kababs and chicken reshmi ones were excellent.

Dinner was worse than average ... we only ate the Biryani - the accompaniments so tasteless than even the foreigners would crib. Desert selection quite poor ...

Give it a miss ... if the same spread is available post 12 pm at half price, it would be excellent. Same or better spread available elsewhere

Overrated!!

Title says it all. Been here a couple of times with friends. The buffet is average, the usual fare at most such restaurants offering a buffet. The ambience and decor is nice though. Prices are average, not too expensive.

Excellent little place

Was wondering what to do on a late friday night - didnt want to burn cash by visiting the 5 stars at their 24 hour coffee shops. But then burrp! came to the rescue - and we were off to Le Brasserie cafe at Le Meridien on Sahar road, which we read the had a real value for money midnight buffet.
The hotel is housed in a really small but nice building, more like a big exclusive private bungalow rather than a five star hotel. And the cafe is also a pretty small place with about ten tables. But there's nothing small about the buffet spread! There was everything from 2 veg & 2 non-veg starters, lot of veg & non-veg salads, soups and the main course which consisted of mainly north Indian food along with an obligatory Chinese noodles & gravy. And almost everything tasted really good. The service was also very courteous and attentive, like you would expect in a five star. The only minor disappointment were the desserts which, while having a lot of variety, wasn't upto the mark in taste.

All in all, a great discovery and I am sure they will be seeing more of me

mid night buffet rocks !!!

Meridien is a rather small hotel that lies between 2 giants.
have been here 2-3 times for the mid nigth buffet ...and it simply rocks
@ 550 / head inclusive of all taxes this one is a steal .they stick to their word ...the buffet begins at 12 sharp and goes on til 3 am
the salads : meat eaters delight - ham , bacom, chicken ,crab and prawn ...all feature in the 15 item salad menu .
the starters :: are average ...abt 3-4 varieties for both veg n non veg
main course : if u can make it to the main course...then u have some appetite .consists of rich preparation . changes with the night .rice, breads, rotis ...and much much more ...
ps : try the dal makhani here....it can seriously change u to a vegeterian again

desserts ::: if u have made it to the desserts by skipping the main course ...then u can do justice to the desserts ...more than 20 items lay on the dessert table ...cakes ...pasteries...moose..tiramisu ..fudge...ice creams ..and more

just make sure u have someone to drive u back home once u are done...

the service is nice ...only complints are the starters...which seem average ...but i can surely look past it considering its a 80 piece buffet

absolute VFM !!

Midnight Dining

La Brasserie, at Le Meridiean hosts the midnight buffet bet 12-3 am all days. Buffet is a mix of chinese, indian, conti food priced at 540/- per person.

The decor of this hotel is truly inviting, warm n pastel shades of beige, green n white.Step into the stylish lobby n walk ur way through the elegant stairway. The buffet area is cosy n dimly lit wid candle stands. Table is set with d right type of crockery.

There was variety of non veg salads abt 6: like chicken roast, braised salmon, platter of cold cuts, diff variety of olives.

6 veg salads: pasta, paneer, pickled cabbage, mix veg, pita n hummus arranged interestingly with array of salad dressings like corriander mayo, basil vinegerate, honey mustard etc. Good feast for a salad lover.

There were 2 types of soup: chicken clear & cream of spinach.

Main course consisted of mutton vindaloo, butter chicken, dum biryani, fried fish in soy sauce, lemon chicken, corn pulav, dal makhani, noodles, baked veg, mix veg, & many more tht i can hardly remember.

Desserts were truly yummy: 4 types of ice cream like chocolate, blueberry etc. mud cake, mango delight, chocolate pudding, fresh creme pudding, gulab jamun, apple pie, almond tarts etc. seperate stand of dessert dressings to mix n match.

uff.....u can imagine......u hav a desire to taste all of it but cant really find place for all this.I made sure to taste most of d items, but couldnt have more if i liked sumthing.

The best were d salads.......most of them chickn roast, cold platter d best. the mutton vindaloo was out of this world, followed by butter chkn.

In deserts choco pudding, creme caramel, apple pie pie, mud cake were amazing.

After all this all i cud think was a bed to sleep.....it was a lovely buffet.......u mus try it but make sure u hav a gud appetite.
