Yumm!!!

Ambience is good. Had visited this place during christmas. They had beautifully decorated this place. Best thing about this place is its pure veg menu and serving lotts of jain items. Tried the Paneer Nazakat (with red gravy and spread of chopped coriander) just supperb... the Rajasthani Kadhi (curry) with soft pakoras is a must-order. Little expensive but worth going for good quality food. Service is poor.

Vegetarian Bliss

This place is located at the center of the busiest Sakinaka circle. The food is excellent, specially for the veggies. Complete family joint & crowded during the weekends. Waiting for around 15-30 minutes on an average. A little on the expensive side, so worth going to this place once a while. Service has always been good whenever visited. Dinner for 2 will be around 1000-1200.

BEST FOOD..!!

Curry twist is one of my favourites. The food is very very tasty.! The best part is that it is pure vegetarian. It is too crowded during weekends and holidays so there is a little waiting time also. The staff is friendly suggesting various dishes of our taste and likes. I am looking forward to many visits to curry twist.

Diamond in a gold mine

located in a very competitive area serving such a wonderful experience apart from meals. fantastic place to be visited. have visited more than 4 times. All times with different taste of foods and different place to sit with such a large dining area followed by mesmerising ambiance and beautiful people around that makes you worth reaching there in highly busy area. not able to recollect the food items ordered but had all good food all the times. when it comes to order desert that was a real twist of the place and goes right with the name its chef's choice desert in the house and brought up in a display all together., that was a fantastic way of serving the last item and leaving the customer with a sweet way.

Value for Money

Visited the place on Sunday evening with family. It is a Pure Vegetarian restaurant
Service - The attendants are more than happy to help and suggest dishes.
Food - Very Good. We started with Broccoli Soup & it was good. We followed it with Cottage Cheese Stuff Jalapenos & Greek Salad - both prepared very well. In the Main course we had Cannelloni Florentine & Veg Fillup (Rice preparation suggested by the staff.) Both were well made.
Will surely come back to try the other options.

Drastic drop in food quality

Curry twist was my most preferred veg restaurant until last week we had this worst experience. The quality has dropped drastically and they serve just for the sake of it.
The veg crispy was horrible with hardly 10-12 pieces of veggies, tossed in jus "No sauce"... dry and extremely pathetic. Felt like eating leftovers... The next order of our's was maincourse of Paneer Lahori & Awadhi biryani, the paneer was literally fried in besan and the gravy (supposed to be onion based) was just a mere tomato gravy in which tomatoes were uncooked and tasted really bad, it gave a total raw taste. I wonder how can a chef serve such food. Biryani was still edible, but being a frequent visitor to the restaurant one can distinguish between the previous quality and the later. No more visit for sure.

Perfect Gujju family place

This place is a perfect family place. Great ambience, great food. The quantity, quality and the prepartions are tasty and up to the mark.
This is one of the places where me and my family generally go to celebrate an occassion. The staff is attentive and pro active.

My plate was never empty, there was always a waiter around to ask me if I need anything or to serve the food.

Ask for the desert tray in the end, they are really delicious.

Also the lemon coriander soup is yummy!

worst experience

25th may 13, we went to curry twist for anniversary celebration, as we were only 4 people, i went to purchase pastries from their shop which is at entrance and when i went inside he is saying you have to pay additional for taking pastries inside the restaurant i mean who charges additionally for birthday cake, all restaurants does it.. manager's attitude was pathetic. have spoiled our entire mood of celebration...one of the worst experience we had and at the end we did not have food there any we left the place but no courtesy from manager, being into service industry one should know how to treat their customers. i would say there are many good restaurants around....!

Continental grub

This was suggested to me as a place for good continental/multi-cuisine grub. The ambience and the service are really good. The food left much to be desired.A place to go if you have someone with you who knows the menu and can give you recommendations. The veg peri peri was a let down as it seemed the chef had never tasted the original peri peri sauce.

Excellent value for money

This place is a hidden gem. In the middle of a run down area of Sakinaka. Very easy to find, but the area is not very posh. The restaurant is extremely posh and has good ambience and a menu of delights to die for. I have not found food so cheaply priced at a five star quality place with 2 star pricing!! I frequent this place for that reason. Rs. 250 per head will buy you an awesome full meal and maybe cause you to overeat. Indian, Continental, Mexican, and excellent soups. I personally go there for the Indian punjabi stuff. The raitas and wide selection of daals are fabulous. The chef is a very very accomplished senior chef, very well spoken, but very humble. The wait staff is also excellent. If you go there, be served by Shoeb, Durgaprasad, and others. Avoid Ravi - arrogant and rude. Overall, an excellent value for money and treat for the palette.

Stay away from this twist

And I'll tell you why! I regret ruining my special Raksha Bandhan day celebrations by picking Curry Twist of all the places. We booked a table for 15 well in advance, knowing that public holidays draw big crowds.
Around 10 of us reached bang on time and the remaining few were stuck in traffic. We started placing our orders and eating anyway. A few minutes into the meal, the waiters started hovering around our table, asking us where the rest of the people were. (Remember we're talking about only 5 out of 15 here..) We assured that they'd reach any time soon but the stupid staff kept pestering us during the meal. Frustrated, my brother called the Manager who, unfortunately turned out to be even worse! He literally started rushing us with the meal saying that lots of people are waiting for a table. So we said what do you want us to do? Leave without completing our meal? The arrogant Manager simply nodded saying "up to you"! But the worst was yet to come actually. The OWNER came into the picture and said stuff like "because of you i can't make the others wait.." and upon arguing that we had already booked a table in advance he said "do u have a hearing problem!!??" Wow.. this was it. We walked out immediately.
Given this rotten attitude and pathetic service, I'd suggest all burrpers to stay away from this twist!!!

Sure its a twist

Well it was my mom's birthday and we decided to check this place out as it was just hop skip jump from my place.
The Ambience is good ... The staff is courteous ..... and welcoming. They offer us a table for four .....
The menu seems quiet tempting and lotta variety to choose from.
So we started with mangolian paneer, mushroom tikka, vegetable crispy. The straters were just delicious and the veg crispy was a little different then the normal one with the peanut fried in it. I also ordered for "Pita bread with hummus sauce" which was great. The main course was quiet scrumptious with tikka and paneer gravy dishes.

As it was my mom's birthday the staff was very courteous as they played the birthday song and also gave us complimentary dutch truffle pastries to all of us.

The evening was just perfect as my mom expected and we had a great time togather.

This place is sure on my hit list hands down.

Strictly Avoid!

Its not a good sign when none of the big table lights in the restaurant seem to be working. Also, there was a person constantly killing flies with one of those electric racquets. In fact, there were more insects inside the restaurant than outside. The pesto hummus was stale with a bad after taste yet the chef refused to acknowledge it. The service was fine but the visit was hardly worth the saki naka traffic you have to bear through. In spite of being a vegetarian, I would prefer a hygienic non vegetarian place to a unhygienic vegetarian place such as Curry Twist.

Bad experience again and again

Being a vegetarian, i have ended up going to Curry Twist many times, but most of the times have come up with a bad taste in my mouth...literally.

This time i went there for Valentine's dinner and ordered a Canneloni. The Canneloni that was served to me was just warm enough, it probably had been waiting in the kitchen for 15 minutes. When i complained, the waiter heated it up but the cold portion on my plate had already filled me up though i can't say satiated me up. Have had too many bad experiences now to go there again!!!!

Apathetic Service- Mediocre Food

Went here for a family lunch on a Sunday. Place was surprisingly quite empty when we reached. but the poor service and average fare explains that now quite evidently.
The menu is quite an assortment of indian/ oriental and italian fare. They have a large number of soups, most of them are worth a try but the starters are not much to boast about. The quality of food falls sharply in the main course. All the entrees tasted as if prepared by B grade caterers at a wedding. Even basic fried rice was cold and had no flavor.
The mediocre food was supplemented with absolute pathetic service which was very very slow and inattentive.
The dessert spread was limited and the cafe outside the joint seemed to be more appealing than what was served in the restaurant.
Rather poor experience. The stars are for the price which is moderate and a decent ambience.

Nice Place But too costly

Not the kind of place I'd generally visit, went there yesterday since I wanted to try some veg cuisine and a beer, food tasted good but the menu is outrageously priced, nice place for a veggie group who wish to catch up over a couple of drinks. TOO GOOD ON THE PALETTE

I usually eat non vegetarian food when I'm out, but as all of us had decided on this restaurant we went ahead. It was a big surprise for me to see the variety of food and the amazing taste. We ordered a large variety of food along with some beers and it was the best vegetarian food i had in a restaurant in mumbai.

AND MIND YOU, WE DIDN'T ORDER ANY PANEER DISHES!

Nice place for dining out

I am a regular at Pop Tates and Chakras at Sakinaka. I had gone there again with my friends and we decided to try something new. We ended up at Curry Twist.

The ambiance is quite nice and gives a feel of an expensive restaurant. The waiters were courteous and appeared to know the menu well.

We ordered a couple of starters with masala papad and green salad. The starters didn't disappoint. For the main course, we ordered a basket of Indian breads with dal and a nice vegetarian preparation (both my friends were veggies). We had to catch a movie so we left without having a desert.

I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good dining place near SakiNaka.

VEGGIE DELIGHT- GOOD ONE

WE HAVE BEEN ALMOST 4 TO 5 TIMES AT THIS PLACE.THIS IS REALLY GOOD N DECENT PLACE TO HAVE UR DINNER WITH SPECIFICALLY GROUP.THE REASON OF STATING GROUP IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE A GOOD VARIETY OF DISHES TO OFFER IN THEIR MENU CARD.
RIGHT FROM THE SOUPS,STARTERS MAIN COURSE N DESSERTS,GOOD RANGE OF VARITIES LIKE FROM SOUP THEIR MINESTRONE SOUP IS A MUST TRY,AMONG THE STARTERS THEIR JALAPENO POPPPERS R WONDERFULL,EVENTHEIR PANNER BASED STARTERS R GOOD ONE.THE MAIN COURSE ALSO HAVE WIDE RANGE TO OFFER FOR,BUT IN THE MAIN COURSE I LL SUGGEST NOT TO GO FROM THEIR CHOICE,AS WE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE,N THE 2 BASIC SABJIS WHICH WE HAD ORDERED WERE GOOD ONE.SO STICK TO THE BASICS FOR SABJIS.AS THE TRIAL N ERROR IN THIS MAY ACCOUNT TO MORE OF AN ERROR.
N AT THE LAST THEIR DESSTERS,THEY GET A DESSERT TRAY FROM WHICH WE HAVE TO SELECT OUR DESSERTS,SIMILARLY DONE AT IVY AT CHEMBUR,AND THE DESSERTS R REALLY AWESOME.AMONG THE DESSERTS DONT MISS THEIR CHOCALATE MOUSE.

OVERALL A VERY REASONABLE PLACE TO GO FOR DINNER WITH YOUR FAMILY,U LL FINISH WITH GOOD MEMORIES IN UR MIND LEFT WITH.

the continental food is fabulous n the ambiance is great. the flower arrangement in the center is extremely refreshing. the staff is extremely cordial and polite.the starters like the potato dumpling and spinach turnover are a must try. the blue cooler is an amazn drink almost as good as the one u get at barista.
the paneer makhani n dal nazakat are truly delightful...the desert is brought to u in an extremely unique way... u get to see everything on the desert menu before actually making ur chice... my personal favourite is the delectable creamy brownieee..... to add to all the delight of this place i got to noe that the owner personally comes to visit and check the level of service at noon and in the evenin......... i truly recomend this place to all veggie lovers as a gr8 place to go with family n friends...........i had a gr8 experience n hope u do toooo....:)

Cozy Lunch

Heard a lot about this place both good and bad from this website and other ones and so decided to check this out. My wife had a Eid holiday and i bunked my office to spend some cozy time with her. Well to set the mood going we decided to go to Curry Twist. The first impression as they say makes or breaks a place or a person. In this case full marks to CT. The place was really nice and welcoming. There was a flower arrangement at the center which was quite soothing. We were immediately seated and " Not Disturbed" into ordering for a really long time. I liked this fact because in most places the waiters hang around the moment they hand you over the menu card. We went thru the menu in peace and decided to try something tried and tested. We zeroed in on my lovely wife's top veggie dishes Tawa Bhindi Dry and Bharleli Vangi with assorted bread basket. We had mocktails which were kind of OK. And the TWIST Number 1 in the Curry Twist... We waited for like 30 minutes for our food and then we waited some more and some more... Not that we were in a hurry but the hunger was getting on us. Infact it led me to think if we had ordered something exotic. Finally when the food arrived my wife was in for a surprise.. TWIST 2 .. The Bharleli Vangi was a big dissapointment. The Brinjals were raw or half cooked and you could actually see their skin in all the pristine glory. I told my wife that this might be their way of presenting but she being a purist was put off. The Tawa Bhindi saved my day. The wait staff was good and polite and infact when we left he came out to open the door for us. 4 Stars for Decor and Service which set the mood going for a Romantic Lunch and KCK thereafter

Multi Cuisine Restaurant at its Best!

Its very rare to come across a restaurant who commits in serving a range of cuisines - from continental to indian - Curry Twist is one of that rare pack.
Tucked off the saki naka intersection, the location would be the only drawback of this place. But once stepping in, everything is a positive - from food to ambiance to staff. The menu has an elaborative list of indian, chinese, italian, mexican items. The pasta soup we ordered was ok. Crisy veg and and spniach on bread was excellent. The mocktails are just ok. Do try the veg mexicana and the lasagnia with garlic bread. Great flavour. I have heard a lot on these forums about the Indian food as well so would def like to return to indulge in that. And finally, the damage - very reasonably priced. Damage for 4 with drinks - 1300.

Curry main Twist hai

I have visited this place twice for some special occasions
So this place is very close to my heart,

I was a regular visitor of Happy Singh and Pop-tates ( both in same building as that of Curry twist)
And trying some other place was simply out of question when u have such good options available

But trust me I never regretted the decision of trying out Curry twist , now this has became one of my fav food outlets in SakiNaka area,
Food is amazing 5/5, so are the soups (shorba) – you can feel that strong fragrance of fresh and Indian spices – hmmmmm yummy
not very expensive also .

Ambiance is good and cozy -

All praises for this place...

Usually I dont admire Pure Veg restaurants much. But this one has really surprised me with:
1. Good Food, really nice taste.
2. Experienced staff, nice service and suggestions.
3. Good ambience.
4. Farely priced, good value for money.

This is a must visit place for all you 'veggie lovers' and a quite and approprite place for 'lovers' ;-).
Enough privacy(enough spacing between the tables) so that you can be sure that the neighbouring people wont laugh on your jokes. :)
A nice experience and a place to visit frequently...!

Pure bliss for vegetarians!!!

Curry Twist – located at Saki naka junction.. it could get a bit difficult to reach the place on weekends. However, once u reach the place.. it’s a pleasure entering through the art gallery. Ambiance is soo cosyy and comfortable.. that you feel at ease.. No one pushes you to place order as soon as u take the seat. The menu is well designed to cater to all taste buds.
We chose to start with soup. Orange flavored tomato soup was something I had never tried before.. just gr88!! In starter, we decided upon skin corn potato.. n we looveed that too :) In main course, we called for some Mexican dish ( I cant recollect..) with multi grain bread.. it was a very well-prepared dish and the bread was fresh and soft.. In the dessert platter, we settled on chocolate moose to keep light..
Over all.. it was such a wonderful experience.. we would like to visit this place again for sure.. n recommend this to people too..

The USP of this place (other than being Pure Veg.) is the quantity of quality food they serve... My oh my... Never in my life had I left a cube of richly marinated paneer on my plate... But the firsts always happen!

Tried the Paneer Nazakat (with red gravy and an intense spread of chopped coriander)... just mind-blowing.... The breads are decent... the Rajasthani Kadhi (curry) with soft pakoras is a must-order...

Shall be trying the non-Indian stuff this week... reviews later!

Different Oriental Cuisine...

Finding good oriental cuisine is difficult. The authentic joints are prohibitively expensive and the others "average" out the dishes. The culprit usually is the "schezwan" flavor which infiltrates everything and makes a mockery of the variety which the cuisine offers. This is where curry twist scores big time.

Curry twist shares the same entrance as cafe O and is the part of the chakra resto bar across the road. Curry twist is strictly vegetarian cuisine , it however does great justice to veggie food.

We rambled in very late on gandhi jayanti at round 3:30 pm and were the last order of the afternoon. The order was for a five treasure soup , Exotic veg oyster vegetables and Korean garlic rice.

All the three dishes were delightful. The soup was completely of a different flavor and did not have the schezwan or garlic overload to it.It was surprisingly a little creamy with julienne veggies in it. The art of julienning the veggies enhances the taste of the soup immensely. I highly recommend the soup as it is flavorful and yet not overly spicy.

The main course was also exceptionally good. The Korean garlic rice just hit the spot. I have always seen that oriental rice get their flavor from being in the wok for a longer time rather than a quick flash fry. Stir fried veggies work good with flash fry but not rice. The Korean garlic rice at curry twist has an exceptional smoky flavor with a hint of burnt garlic. The spring onions enhance the flavor of the dish too. The rice is not oily and you dont have a "lipstick" of grease on your lips once you have the rice. For me that is a good indicator of the dish.

The exotic veg oyster veggies go very well with the rice. It was slightly below par as the dish is not visually appealing. Its like a black Manchurian sauce with exotic veggies in it.The rice and the dish do very well together. The addition of slightly braised zucchini adds a mouthful of flavor.

Curry twist has a very good ambiance and the staff are well versed with the menu . We had the combination of curry and rice on recommendation of the server which we found to be very good.

I am definitely visiting the joint again for their Indian fare which also seemed tempting.

Pathetic service!

Been to this place on Sunday noon and the hotel was crowded already. The waiters were not able to manage the orders and looked extremely disinterested when called for some orders.
Do not order NACHOS nor PASTA!! save money.
