Average ...
The food was quite average ... Somehow, they seemed to be economizing on salt, as most of the dishes were running low. Not some of the best. In addition, they seem to have a policy that they wont serve you unless you order for a particular amount per head. Quantity, too, not much.

Push for an elbow
This place is awfully small and overpriced. Once they had the monopoly over serving Bengali Food. So it was a must visit for every Firang touching Kolkata.
But now you have so many options who serve good Bengali food, so Kewpie's need revisit their service and pricing.

thalis, bengali style - on a banana leaf!
Must warn everyone that this place is a little bit on the high end when it comes to a thali place, but it is unlike any thali place you've been to. Authentic bengali meats and fish dishes along with other accompaniments are served on a large banana leaf! Us bengalis are familiar with the tradition, but rarely do you see an upscale place serving food like this. The meat and fish dishes are succulent and juicy, and while they do offer a full veg thali as well, most come here for the nonveg fare. Reservations are a must on the weekends.
