SSA is the first State-of-the-art academy of the SSRVM Trust. Located in the heart of Kolkata the school campus spreads over an area of 1.5 acres.
The academy building is 7 storeys tall with a spacious basement, housing classrooms which are air-conditioned, spacious and cheerful with plenty of daylight. The seating and teaching aids are of an international standard.
Large Lifts have been installed to carry as many as 20 children at a time, to their respective floors. Special care has been taken for physically challenged children with the building of ramps, and other needful amenities.
With the aim to add a new dimension to textual learning, every class at SSA has been equipped with SmartClass Technology from Educomp, a renowned name in digital teaching aids.
The system comprises a huge wall-mounted Touch Screen Digital Display with connectivity to a server that houses pre-designed programme modules which are made in consultation with the teachers and in relation to the curriculum.
Every child is gifted with an innate skill or ability. SSA provides a sound platform to nurture such talent and give each child the room to grow and learn more. The curriculum thus include lessons by qualified professionals in both western and Indian music, quizzing, debating, computer programming, performing and visual arts, ikebana, fruit and vegetable cutting, etc. professionals.
To address and facilitate this role of the parents, SSA holds special, two-hour "KNOW YOUR CHILD" and "KNOW YOUR TEENS" workshops for the parents.
These programs help the parents to understand their child's behaviour, in the correct perspective and mould their response accordingly to help the child grow into a confident human being.
