I was in Kolkata during the Durga Pujas '09; and wanted to try out Soho.
Called up to book the place (at about 8PM or so), and was confirmed our reservation for 10PM. Having left our place well in advance (fearing the traffic), we called up at about 930PM to confirm the booking.
Horror of horrors, the person at the other end mentions that they don't take reservations at Soho, and well, if we want a reservation at some place called Mezze... he can manage the same. I mentioned to him that well, the booking was confirmed close to two hours ago... and he was rude as rude can be, in response....
