Flurys have always been a classic joint. From the ambiance to the food that were served, everything was top notch. But sadly not anymore. At my recent visit to the place, somethings were very wrong.
1. The service was extremely slow as we had to call a waiter at five times till he showed up.
2. The items on the menu looked unspiring.
3. The dish we finally ordered was tasteless and cold. It felt like it was 5 days old.
4. The coffee they served had absolutely no flavour.
But one must give due credit to what was good. The cakes and chocolates were just brilliant. It was so good that I had to pack some for my family as well.
I sincerely hope that they will get the standard of their food and service back to the top class way it used to be.

Staying just down the road, was a favorite on sundays, when lazily get up, wander down the road, pickup magazines & then settle down in the flury's (was not as plush as the renovated one) but lovely omlettes, thick slices of bread; shakes, coffee, & on the way out pick up some veg pattice; cakes....
And some day when it was raining, just sit & watch park street going by!!! Ah those were the days.

We stopped by for a bite at Flury's a few days ago. The rum balls and omelletes we ordered were phenomenal! Their chocolate shake is pretty good too.
