Pocket Friendly but not Authentic Italian

Went back here after nearly 4 years with the family garlic bread firmly etched in memory! A tad bit disappointed. Since there were only 2 of us we ordered the Garlic bread with mushroom. We thought it would be a dry dish but it was unfortunately topped with a creamy mushroom sauce. Having said that, it definitely tasted well. Post that we were looking for some suggestions from the waiter but didn't get any convincing answer so settled for the mushroom risotto & it was very disappointing. It was essentially the same sauce as the garlic bread only far too tasteless. Had the waiter made an effort & told us that both the dishes were of the same sauce and wouldn't go well together we would have had an awesome lunch but unfortunately we ended up feeling highly dissatisfied... The price is pocket friendly though the taste is far from authentic; wish they had more well trained staff!

My Favourite Italian Joint

Since I ate there the first time during my high school days, I have been a regular to Jalapenos. I love the family garlic bread, sizzlers and the pastas they serve. Though a small restaurant with limited seating, this is the place to visit with your family and friends.

Mexican Food

My friends and I decided to try some new cuisine and we instantly thought of mexican food.
Jalapenos is just behind Aqua Java on wood street. So, the location must be known to most.
When I entered the place I wasn't too impressed with the decor but we took a table near the glass wall and it felt cosy and nice after that.
We ordered cheese garlic bread, which is the specialty here but being a person who is not fond of cheese or butter, this was definitely a wrong pick. The garlic bread was dripping with cheese and butter and the very view made me resent eating it.

For main course we ordered pasta in white sauce and baked rice. Too much of white sauce and cheese for a day. It would have been better, had we balanced out the meal with red sauce, though the pasta was tasty. For the baked rice my friends took the top layer with cheese( yet again) and I dug into the platter and just had the rice beneath.
All in all the food was good but it became a bit too cheesy for my taste.
The dishes are moderately priced and I wouldn't mind paying another visit but this time I will order from the menu a bit more cautiously.
