Tucked away in the narrow by lanes of Old Delhi, Karim’s is a place that probably doesn’t need an introduction. Their culinary secrets are a legacy passed on through generations from the Mughal kitchens during their reign in India. It’s been a true blue Mughlai restaurant since 1913, especially with their mouth-watering Biryanis and succulent kebabs.
Best Décor: Lodi – The Garden Restaurant, Lodhi Road
Situated in Lutyen’s Delhi, Lodi – The Garden restaurant is the city’s favourite al fresco dining restaurant. As the name suggests, the lush greenery gives this place the uber classy yet desi vibe. While you’re here, try their Lamb Ragu Lasagna or Honey Ginger Pork Ribs.
Best Street Food: Haldiram’s, Chandni Chowk
Gol gappe and chat seem to be our cheap thrills, thus seeking joy in the economical yet intense flavours by the street. Where do you go for the Best Street Food in Delhi? Our folks voted for Haldiram’s.
Best Modern Indian: Indian Accent – The Manor, Friends Colony

Best Bar & Pub: Hauz Khas Social, Hauz Khas Village
Now, we all know that Socials have been mushrooming across the country and they’re being received too well but this one at Hauz Khas is a one-of-a-kind co-working place that lives up to its name both during the day when it has millennials working hard and post 6pm avatar when the place is swarmed with people partying harder.
Best Breakfast: Roots - Café In The Park, Sec 29
If you were to ask us where you would find healthy breakfast in Delhi, we’d say Roots Café in The Park. It offers a range of healthy breakfast that you can savour whenever you drop by. Try their delicious Oats Uthappam or Milagai Podi Idli or Eggs to order the way you want.
Best Midnight Food Service: Captain Grub, Vasant Kunj

Desserts are underrated and we often miss out on savouring some best, but our Delhiites seem to have a great sweet tooth. Whipped is the quintessential patisserie that has to offer the best cakes in town!

Certain things, like a good burger are essential to survive the conundrum of the modern day world and our folks in Delhi just told us that they maintain their sanity with some mean burgers from Smoke House Deli. We’d agree and recommend the Baconater or Southern Style Fried Chicken Burger.
Best College Hangout: Rose Café, Saket
Every city has their favourite college hangout place where students flock for delicious food at a reasonable price. For Delhiites, it is the Rose Café.
