I was tempted to visit Kents fast food after reading the reviews of its mutton burger. So while driving past the defence colony market i gave them a call to get a mutton burger packed for a take away. I reached and my mutton burger was not ready and took around 10 minutes more . While paying my bill i fell in a small argument with cashier that for a take away a customer should not be charged with service tax especially while the memo did not have the service tax no. But i paid it anyways .
Coming to the burger , it was surely outstanding. The bun was soft and fresh, the mutton patty was crispy and tasty. The burger was nicey assembled and packed well .
Kents is an old eatery and only fast food outlet in defence colony market which surely deserves a visit.
Hailing to be one of defence colony's oldest fast food joints is the only claim to fame Kents has in my humble opinion. The food and menu seem outdated. They hardly offer any variety. If putting a patty and a lettuce in a bun makes a burger then i rather not pay for it.I could easily make it myself. The menu doesn't seem to have the variety people in todays day and age expect when they pay for their food.Almost feels like Kents after achieving local fame doesn't care to update its menu as it probably feels no need probably because the sales of its simple "indian"burgers" seem to be doing the job.The only good thing is that they try to give you free chips with your meal.Sadly i am not going here.I feel delhi has way better options when it comes to food.I rather go to Wimpy. For the quality and quantity the price just seems to make it reasonable but the food is below average.
